           Over 200 vehicles showed for the second day of drag racing for 2009! In the Super Pro Quarter Finals it was Adam Trauth of Cold Springs Kentucky dialing a 4.95 to the 6.50 of Dave Caplinger of Xenia. Caplinger would be better at the tree with a .502 light, and would hold the advantage to the stripe with a 6.521 run over a breaking out Trauth. Next up would be Tim Louderback of Xenia dialing a 5.07 to the 4.94 of Kathy Glasco of Piqua. Glasco had the better light with a .509, however Louderback made the pass on a 5.101 run for the win. JR Lockhart would have the bye into the semis.
            In the semis it would be Louderback on the bye run, next would be Caplinger against Lockhart. Caplinger dialed a 4.77 to the 6.50 of Lockhart. Lockhart would be better on the tree with a .522 light, both racers drove hard, Lockhart would get the win over a breaking out Caplinger with a 4.776 run.

            In the finals it would be Louderback dialing a 5.08 to the 4.76 of Lockhart. Lockhart would be better on the tree with a .518 and would take the win light over a breaking out Louderback with a 4.785 run.
            In the pro quarterfinals it would be John Masdea of Columbus dialing a 6.07, against Doug Thompson of Columbus with an 8.35 dial. Thompson would be better at the tree with a.514 light, and would take the stripe on an 8.423 run for the win. Next up would be Mark Griffith of New Carlisle dialing a 6.07 to the 7.00 of Randy Biddle Jr. of Burbank. Biddle would be better at the tree with a .529 reaction time; a double breakout win would be Biddle’s on a 6.984 run. In the final pair for the round it would be Bryan Fox of Springfield dialing a 5.70 to the 7.54 of Ricky Shepherd of Dayton. Shepherd would get the better reaction time with a .527, and would get the win with a 7.564 run.
            In the semis it would be Thompson and Biddle. Thompson would dial an 8.34 to the 6.99 of Biddle. Reaction times were only a difference of .0023 seconds with Biddle the better. At the finish line Thompson would receive the win light with an 8.343 run. Shepherd had the bye into the finals.
            In the finals it would be Biddle dialing an 8.34 to the 7.53 of Shepherd. Once again reaction times were extremely close with Shepherd taking the advantage by .0099 seconds, at the finish line it would be shepherd victorious on a 7.538 run.
            In the Street quarterfinals it would be Doug Thompson of Columbus against Dan Trainer of Lockbourne. Thompson would dial a 12.99 to the 12.00 of Trainer. Thompson would be better off the line with a .551 reaction time, he would hold his number to the finish line for a 12.994 run for the win. Next would be Jake Browder of Fairborn dialing a 12.00 to the 16.33 of Steve Collier of Dayton. Collier would have the better reaction with a .517, and that would be enough to hold the advantage to the line for the win with a 16.444 over a breaking out Browder. Next pair to the tree would be Rusty Thompson of Columbus against Pete Caroll of Fairborn. Thompson would dial a 12.96 to the 16.81 of Caroll. Reaction times were only .0001 apart, with Thompson the better, however it would be Caroll with the win light after a 16.824 pass. The last pair for the round would be Rick Gladman of Columbus against Terry Knight of Fairborn. Gladman dialed a 12.19 to the 16.84 of Knight. Knight would chop down the tree with a .504 light however Gladman would chase him down taking the double breakout win with a 12.187 run.
            In the semis it would be Gladman dialing a 12.16 against Thompson dialing a 12.99. Thompson would leave early and that moved Gladman to the finals. Next would be Caroll dialing a 16.81 to the 16.36 of Collier, Collier would also leave early and that would move Caroll to the finals to face Gladman.

            In the final round Gladman dialed a 12.15 to the 16.86 of Caroll. Gladman would get the better light with a .566 and would hold the advantage to take the Street class double breakout win with a 12.147 run.
            In the pro bike quarterfinals it would be Kawboy Bob Nugent of Trotwood dialing a 9.56 against Jeremey England of West Chester dialing a 12.61. Bob would have mechanical problem, and Jeremy would take the win light with a 13.415. Next would be Tahd Neeld of St. Paris dialing a 9.35 to the 9.77 of Homer England of West Chester. At the tree it would be Neeld with the better light a .532. England would make the pass and bring up the win light however with a 9.791 run. The last pair for the round would be Rick Haupt of Farmersville dialing an 8.99 to the 9.58 of Roger Wilhelm of Urbana. Reaction times were only .0023 difference with the advantage going to Haupt, he would hold it and take the win with a 9.034 run into the semis.
            In the semis it would be Dad vs. Lad as Homer and Jeremy England faced each other to see which would race bye runner Rick Haupt in the Finals. Homer dialed a 9.77 to the 12.61 of Jeremy. At the tree, Homer would grab the better light with a .566 and would make the pass with a 9.827 run for the win over his son. (We are all sure that there
was a bit of bragging going on there!)
            In the finals it would be dialing a 9.78 to the 9.06 of Haupt. Haupt had the better light with a .507 but only by .0078, both riders made the pass all out, and the double breakout win would go to Rick Haupt of Farmesville on a 9.050 pass!

           Scott Litton won the street bike class on the second weekend of competition!

           In the Jrs 13 & up, it would be Kyle Smith of La Rue dialing a 7.90 to the 7.90 of Adam Berberich of Blacklick. Berberich would have the better light on the heads up drag race with a .519, and would take the win with a 7.839 run. Next would be Michael Collier of Cardington would dial a 7.96 to the 7.96 of Tyler Vance of New Carlisle. Vance would have the better light but Collier would have the better run with a 7.965 for the win. Next up would be Ben Browder on the bye run to the semis.
            In the semis it would be Collier dialing a 7.97 to the 7.90 of Browder. Collier would have the better light with a .558, but it would be Browder with the win light on a 7.953 pass. Berberich had the bye run to the finals.
            In the finals it would be Berberich dialing a 7.90 to the 7.94 of Browder. Browder would have the better tree with a .521 light, and would take the class win with a 7.950 run.
            In the 10-12 class it was Kay Crum of Jamestown dialing an 8.90 to the 8.91 of Maggie Turley of Baltimore. Turley Had the better light, however would breakout giving the win to Crum. Paige Vance was next on the bye run for the round. For the last pair of the quarters it would be Kylie Derifield of Lebanon dialing a 10.90 to the 12.60 of Andy Glasco from Piqua. Derifield would chop down the tree with a .501 light, however gave it all back at the stripe on the breakout, Glasco would move to the semis with a 12.770 run.
            In the Semis it would be Vance dialing a 9.37 to the 12.69 of Glasco. Glasco would go red and that moved Vance to the finals to face bye runner Kay Crum.
            In the finals it would be Vance dialing a 9.38 to the 8.90 of Crum. Crum would get the better start with a.623 light, and would hold the advantage to the finish line with an 11.613 run for the Class win.
            In the Jrs 8-9 Shelby Stacy of New Carlisle would dial 12.90 against Kyle Beavers of Urbana. Stacy would leave early, while Beavers chopped the tree down with a .504. Beaver would breakout and retain the win with a 12.970 run due to the redlight by Stacy. Logan Back of New Carlisle faced Byron Pitts of Urbana for a 13.35 heads up race. Pitts would be better off the line with a .829, but Back ran closer to the dial with a 13.447 for the win. Michael Roberts had the bye run into the semis.
            In the semis it would be Roberts dialing a 13.21 to the 13.35 of Back. Roberts cut the better light with a .643, however brokeout giving the Win to Back who ran a 13.35. Kyle Beavers had the bye into the finals.
            In the finals Beavers would dial 12.98 to the 13.35 of Back. Beavers would cut the better reaction time, however Back would run closer to the number with a 13.821 run.
