Saturday May 2, 2009- Over 250 Cars made the call for firsts round of super Saturday competition. Super Pro would battle for $2000 to win. In the quarterfinals it would be Jason Ford of Kettering dialing a 5.10 to the e5.18 of Chip Heindal of Pittsburg. Ford would cut a .505 for the better reaction time, and would hold the advantage to the finish line with a 5.120 for the win. Next would be Scott Arnold of West Chester dialing a 4.98 to the 4.77 of Randy Estridge from Chesterville. Arnold would take a red light, and moved Estridge to the semis. In the final pair of the round it would be Richie Allen of Ashland, KY dialing a 4.80 to the 7.12 of Keith Walters of Indianapolis. Allen cut a .507 light and would hold of Walters with a 4.802 run for the win light. In the semis it would be Allen dialing a 4.80 to the 4.77 of Estridge. Estrdige would cut the better light with a .511 but only by .0036. Ford had the bye run into the finals. In the Finals it would be Ford dialing a 5.10 to the 4.78 of Estridge. Both racers recording identical reaction times with a .5168’s; however it would be Ford with the win light after a 5.125 run. In the Pro Class quarterfinals it would be IDDU’s Rob Crider of Kettering dialing a 6.53 to the 8.49 of Doug Thompson of Columbus. Thompson would have the better reaction time with a .517. At the finish line it would be a double breakout win for Thompson with an 8.475. Next would be Rod Knight of Xenia dialing a 6.68 to the 6.58 of Brandon Downey of Greensburg, In. Downey would win the reaction time battle with a .532 and would take the double breakout win with a 6.579. Next would be Wayne Adams of Hamilton dialing a 6.31 to the 6.80 of IDDU’s James Sanders of Riverside. Adams would cut a .505 and take the stripe with a 6.309 on the double breakout. Mike McKinney of Richmond, In. had the bye. In the semis it would be Thompson dialing an 8.47 to the 6.58 of Downey. Downey would cut a .519 and would have the win light with a 6.621. Next would be McKinney vs. Adams to see who would make it to the finals. McKinney dialed a 6.50 to the 6.30 of Adams. Adams would cut a .521 for the better bulb, followed by a 6.314 for the win. In the
finals it would be Adams dialing a 6.32 to the 6.58 of Downey. Adams
would get a .512 for the advantage, and would run a 6.337 for the Pro
Class win. In the semis would be Thompson dialing a 13.19 to the 13.65 of Cork. Cork would be better at the tree with a .592 and would take it to the line with a 13.7135 for the win light. Caplinger had the bye run to the finals. In the finals it would be Cork dialing a 13.69 to the 12.21 of Caplinger. Caplinger would cut a .553 and take the stripe with a 12.325 for the win light. In the Pro Bike quarterfinals it would be Darrell Carmichael of Tipp City dial a 9.32 to the 10.77 of Steve Withem from Fairborn. Withem would get the better light with a .551, and would take the stripe with a 10.864 for the win. Next would be Kevin Hoskins of Cincinnati dialing a 9.48 to the 8.95 of Burt Exman of Englewood. Hoskins would have the better light, with a .527 and would take the win with a 9.505. Next would be Bradley Shellhaas of Springfield dialing a 9.38 to the 9.82 of Homer England of West Chester. Shellhaas would cut the better light with a .514, and would get the win with a 9.534. Rick Haupt of Farmersville would have the bye to the semis. In the semis it would be Hoskins dialing a 9.49 to the 10.77 of Withem. Withem would cut the better light with a .515 and would take the light with a 10.802 breakout win. Next would be Shellhaas dialing a 9.41 against Haupt’s 9.19. Haupt would cut t a.504 for the starting line advantage, and would take the win with a 9.212 run. In the
finals it would be Withem dialing a 10.77 to the 9.21 of Haupt. Haupt
would leave early and it would be Withem with the pro bike win. In the semis it would be Hunter Hughes dialing a 13.17 to the 13.11 of Babb. Babb would cut the better light with a .708 and would take the win light with a 13.150. Roberts had the bye to the next finals. In the
finals it would be Roberts dialing a 12.90 to the 13.13 of Babb. Roberts
would cut a .584, but broke out and Babb would take the win light with a
13.140. Next would be
Shayla Babb of Xenia dialing a 9.12 to the 10.37 of Jerry Rase from
Hillsboro. Rase would have the better light with a.578, but would
breakout and that would give Babb the win with a 9.317. Caleb Ellison of
Beavercreek had the bye run. In the semis it would be Hughes dialing an 8.08 to the 10.85 of Deaton. Deaton would cut a .540 but Hughes would take the win with an 8.089. Next would be Smith dialing a 7.93 to the 8.16 of Bardules. Smith would take the better light with a .554 and would take the win with an 8.004. In the finals it would be Smith dialing a 7.94 to the 8.05 of Hughes. Hughes would go red and that would make Smith the winner.
