Saturday drag racing action saw the UMTR visit to race along with the NHRA Summit Et Bracket Racing Series. In the Sonic Drive In Super Pro Division quarterfinals it would be Jason Farquer of Hillsboro dialing a 5.24 to the 5.17 of Josh Morgan from New Carlisle. Farquer would cut a .509 light and would get the win light with a 5.271. Next up would be Steve Taylor of Riverside dialing a 4.76 to the 5.85 of Mike Barrett. Barrett would cut a .533, however it would be Barrett would breakout making Taylor the winner on a 4.776 pass. Next would be Tim Louderback of Xenia dialing a 5.16 to the 5.63 of Dave Cox from Washington Courthouse. Louderback would cut  a .522 light and would take the win with a  5.168 pass. Ken Sullivan would have the bye run to the semis.

            In the semis it would be Farquer dialing a 5.26 to the 4.77 of Taylor. Faquer would take the double breakout win with a 5.256. Next would be Louderback dialing a 5.16 to the 5.03 of Sullivan. Louderback would take the win with a 5.171.

            In the finals it would be Farquer dialing a 5.25 to the 5.16 of Louderback. Louderback would cut a .510 light and would take the breakout win with a 5.166 pass.   

                In the pro class quarterfinals it would be the IDDU’s Phil Borton of Urbana dialing a 7.02 to the 5.87 of Brett Randall from Xenia. Borton would cut .509 for the starting line advantage but would breakout moving Randall to the semis on a 5.878 pass. Next would be Tom Scarpelli of Xenia dialing a 6.28 of 6.53 of Brad Day from Bowersville. Day would go red moving Scarpelli to the next round. Next would be the IDDU’s James Sanders from Riverside dialing a 6.99 to the 6.17 of John Engle from Xenia. Engle would go red moving Sanders to the semis.

            In the semis it would be Doug Caplinger dialing a 7.20 to the 5.87 of Brett Randall. Caplinger would go red moving Randall to the finals. Next would be Sanders dialing a 6.99 to the 6.28 of Scarpelli. Scarpelli would go red moving Sanders to the finals.

            In the Pro finals it would be Sanders dialing a 6.97 to the 5.87 of Randall. Sanders would go red making Randall the event winner.

            In the sportsman class it would be Mike Haines of Spring Valley dialing a 12.25 to the 15.09 of Pete Caroll from Fairborn. Haines would go red moving Caroll to the next round. Next would be Tim Frawley of Beavercreek dialing a 17.04 to the 13.60 of Doug Thompson from Columbus. Thompson would be better on the tree with a .564 and would take the win with a 13.769. Steve Collier of Dayton would have the bye.

            In the semis it would be Thompson dialing a 13.63 to the 17.08 of Collier. Thompson would go red moving Collier to the next round. Pete Caroll had the bye run into the finals.

            In the finals it would be Collier dialing a 17.07 to the 15.40 of Caroll. Collier would be better at the tree with a  .557 and would take the win with a 17.135 pass.

            In the Buckminn’s D&D Harley Davidson Pro Bike class we would see Thad Neeld dial a 9.58 to the 9.95 of Homer England. Homer would be better on the tree with a .537 and would take the round win with a 10.040 pass. Next would be Scott Shepeard dialing a 9.03 to the 9.88 of Jesse Sowers. Sowers would cut the better light with a .541, but it would be Shepeard with a 9.076 pass. Next would be Rick Haupt dialing an 8.53 to the 8.92 of Joe Deck. Haupt would cut a .522 light and would take the round win with an 8.608. The last pair of the round would be Larry Hunter of Xenia dialing a 9.41 to the 8.82 of Burt Exman. Hunter would cut a .533 but it would be Exman with the win on an 8.837 pass.

            In the semis it would be England dialing a 9.97 to the 8.56 of Haupt. Haupt would cut a .513 light and would take the double breakout win with a 8.540 pass. Next would be Shepeard dialing a 9.08 to the 8.82 of Exman. Shepeard would cut a .542 for the advantage and would take the double breakout win with a  9.073 pass.

            In the finals it would be Shepeard dialing a 8.09 to the 8.54 of Haupt. Shepeard would go red making Haupt the winner.

            In the Jr 13 & Up Class it would be Megan Hughes dialing an 8.10 to the 7.93 of TJ Spurlock. Spurlock would cut the better light with a .520 pass, and would take the win with a 7.975 pass. Next would be James Smith dialing an 8.08 to the 8.04 of Edmond Ellison. Smith would cut a .517 for the better light but would breakout moving Ellison to the semis on an 8.041 pass. Shayla Babb would have the bye run to the semis.

            In the semis it would be Babb dialing a 7.96 to the 8.02 of Ellison. Ellison would go red moving Babb to the finals to face bye runner TJ Spurlock.

            In the finals it would be Babb and Spurlock dialing 7.95 for a heads up final. Spurlock would go red making Babb the class winner on a 7.964 pass.

            In the 10-12 Jrs it would be Hunter Hughes dialing a 10.51 to the 9.01 of Caleb Ellison. Hughes would cut the better light with a  .552 but it would be Ellison on the Double breakout win with a 9.004 pass. Next would be Marissa Babb dialing an 8.95 to the 9.03 of Garreth Shepeard. Shepeard would go red moving Babb to the next round. Allison Neeld would have the bye.

            In the semis it would be Babb dialing a 9.07 to the 12.29 of Neeld. Babb would cut a .594 light, but it would be Neeld with the win on a 12.297 pass. Ellison would have the bye run to the finals.

            The final would see Neeld dialing a 12.28 to the 8.98 of Ellison. Neeld would cut  a.616 for the advantage and would win with a 12.281 pass.

            In the 8-9 class it would be Byron Pitts dialing a 13.25 to the 13.15 of Shelby Stacy. Stacy would go red making Pitts the winner in the 8-9 class.

            The UMTR Quick Stick quarters would see Steve Grubbs dialing a 5.72 of 6.68 of Ryan Naegle. Grubbs would cut  a .536 for the better light, but it would be Naegle with the win on a 6.661 pass. Next would be Jay Detzel dialing a 6.56 to the  6.59 of Doyle Hair. Hair would go red moving Detzel to the next round. Next would be Ron Sexton dialing a 6.60 to the 6.12 of Dave Stehlin. Stehlin would cut a .520 and would take the win light with a 6.159. Next would be Jay Tietz dialing a 5.59 to the 7.12 of Jack Detzel. Detzel would cut a .539 light and would take the win with a 7.139 pass.

            In the semis Detzel would dial a 6.56 to the 6.64 of Naegle. Detzel would go red moving Naegle to the finals. Next would be Dave Stehlin dialing a 6.12 to the 7.12 of Jack Detzel. Detzel would cut a .505 for the advantage and would take the win with a 7.132 pass.

            In the finals it would be Detzel dial a 7.12 to the 6.67 of Naegle. Naegle would cut a .506 and would take the win with a 6.817.   

            In the UMTR Street Stick it would be Ralph Bray Jr dialing an 18.44 to the 16.88 of Angelo Taylor. Taylor would cut a .544 light but it would be Bray with the win on an 18.534 pass. Next would be Joe Depuccio dialing a 12.40 to the 13.28 of Jeff Tom. Tom would go red moving Depuccio to the semis. Next would be Jay Potts dialing a 14.35 to the 11.72 of Steve Schmitt. Potts would cut a .544 light, and would take the win with a 14.573. Rick Terry would have the bye to the semis.

            In the Semis it would be Bray dialing an 18.53 to the 11.54 of Terry. Bray would cut a .528 light but would breakout, Terry would run an 11.643 pass. Next would be Depuccio dialing a 12.40 to the 14.35 of Potts. Potts would cut a .540 and would take the win with a  14.464 pass.

            In the finals it would be Potts dialing a 14.35 to the 11.60 of Terry. Terry would go red making Jay Potts the UMTR Street Stick winner.
