Over 200 vehicles staged for first round competition in Saturday along with the Jeg’s Ohio Junior Dragster Series. In Super pro quarterfinals it would be Brent Angles of Hillsboro dialing a 5.53 to the 5.05 of Ken Sullivan from West Carrolton. Angles would be better at the light with a .521, and would take the win with a 5.526 pass. Next would be Tim Klopfenstein of Xenia dialing a 5.17 to the 5.48 of Rick Wilkins of Hillsboro. Wilkins would be wetter at the tree and would take the breakout win with a 5.522 pass. Jerimiah Carter from Williamsburg would have the bye run into the semis. In the semis it would be Carter dialing a 4.93 to the 5.51 of Wilkins. Carter would cut a .515 light and would take the round win with a 4.964. Angles would ride the bye to the finals. In the finals it would be Angles dialing a 5.52 to the 4.94 of Carter. Angles would leave early and would give the win to Carter on a 5.569 pass. Smart would get the better reaction time with a .508 and would take the win with a 12.557 pass. Next would be Brian Collier dialing a 12.91 to thee 12.91 of Daniel Roock from Troy. Roock would cut the better light with a .569 and would take the win with a 12.982 pass. Terry Knight would get the bye into the semis. Sizemore would go red moving Ellison to the next round. Next would be Kylie Derifield of Lebanon and Garreth Sheppeard of Springfield dialing 8.90 for a heads up race. Kylie would cut the better light with a .638 but the breakout win would go to Garreth with a 8.906 pass. Taylor Cook of West Chester would have the bye. In the semis we would see Sheppeard and Cook dial 8.90 for heads up racing. Garreth would cut a .565 for the better light and would take the win on a 9.014 pass.
