      With a great day for racing and a large turn out of cars and fans, we had the Jeg’s super quick series on hand. We had three first time winners, two repeat winners and one three-peat winner.

 

       In the Jeg’s super quick 56 cars tried to make the 32 starting spots. Lester Adkins of Corydon, Kentucky was the number one qualifier for open wheel cars with a 4.500. Tom Stultz of Terre Haute, Indiana in his 92 Firebird was the door car number one with a 4.571. In the quarterfinals Robbie Davis of South Bloomingville, Ohio in his 02 Dragster a double breakout race over Phillip Oakley of Owensboro, Kentucky in his 04 Undercover Dragster. Butch Crowley of Evansville, Indiana in his 01 Gebhard Dragster defeated a breaking out Ed Beyer Jr of Beavercreek, Ohio in his 96 Olds Cutlass. Sean DeWitt of Logansport, Indiana in his Canode Dragster won a double breakout over Lester Adkins of Corydon, Kentucky in his 03 Dragster. Dean Stevens of South Bloomingville, Ohio in his 03 Neon got by Rick Bucher of Cincinnati, Ohio in his Dragster. In the semi final Davis got a broke run when Stevens didn’t make the call. DeWitt ran dead on to get by Crowley. In the heads up final both dial in at 4.50 DeWitt had the better light .504 to .521 but Davis got the win 4.506 at 153.63 to 4.529 at 139.76.

         In super pro today we had 137 cars stage up in round one with Jeff Kuhn and Tim Thatcher both having .501 lights for the best of the round and Jon Pickering running 6.230 on a 6.23 dial in. In round two Nathan Baker and Todd Filson had .502 lights and Ken Bigler run 6.380 on a 6.38 dial in. In round three Rick Wegley had a .501 light and Daryl McConnaughey ran a 6.400 on a 6.40 dial in. In round four John Montgomery had a .506 and Tony McFall ran a 5.714 on a 5.71 dial in. In round five Jack Morris was the man with a .502 and 5.930 on a 5.93 dial in. In the quarterfinals Matt Antrobius of Bellbrook, Ohio in his 00 Fox Dragster got the bye run. Rick Rittenhouse of Washington Court House, Ohio in his 68 Firebird ran a 5.987 on a 5.98 dial in with the better light to beat Jeff Perry of Huber Heights, Ohio in his T-Bird who ran a 6.053 on a 6.05 dial in. Jack Morris of West Liberty, Ohio in his 66 Chevy II had the better light but Dean Howard of New Carlisle, Ohio in his 67 Nova ran dead on with a 6.249 on a 6.24 dial in. In the semi final Howard got the bye. Rittenhouse broke on the line giving the win to Antrobius. In the final both drivers where looking for there first win of the season Howard won the double breakout final over Antrobius for his first win of the season.

       In the pro bracket tonight we had 64 cars stage up for the first round the best light was Keith Stewart with a .502 and Gwayne Honeycutt ran 10.680 on a 10.68 dial in. In round two Brian Quillen had a .501 and Jim Yates Jr ran an 11.633 on an 11.63 dial in. In round three Mike L Hurless ran a 10.380 on a 10.38 dial in. In the quarterfinals John Bosier of Sabina, Ohio in his 64 Dodge got the win over James Sanders of Riverside, Ohio in his 85 Firebird. Rod Knight of Xenia, Ohio in his 71 Chevelle red lighted giving Shawn Stacy of Beavercreek, Ohio in his 70 Camaro the win. Patrick Partee Jr of Xenia, Ohio in his 68 Chevelle got the win over Pete Thomas of Sabina, Ohio in his 62 Plymouth. Mike L Hurless red lighted in his 72 Nova from Washington Court House, Ohio giving Shawn Alex of Cedarville, Ohio in his Mustang the win. In the semi finals Alex red lighted giving the win to Bosier. Stacy red lighted giving Partee Jr the win. In the final both were looking for their first win of the season. Partee Jr had the better light and got the win light over Bosier.

       In the sportsman class 37 cars staged up for the first round Dale Adams ran a 15.502 on a 15.50 dial in. In round two Mike Wagner ran a 16.476 on a 16.47 dial in. In the quarterfinals Dennis Young of Riverside, Ohio in his 71 Camaro got the bye run. Glenn E Coterel of Waverly, Ohio in his 84 Camaro won the double breakout race over Michelle Horn of Casstown, Ohio in her 80 Chevy. Phil Borton of Urbana, Ohio in his 79 Camaro broke out giving Doug Caplinger of Xenia, Ohio in his 79 Malibu the win. In the semi finals Caplinger got the bye run. Coterel broke out giving the win to Young. In the final for the second week in a row it is Young and Caplinger. Caplinger cut a .502 light and got his third win in a row with a 13.106 at 93.89 on a 13.05 dial in Young ran a 13.162 at 98.47 on a 13.15 dial in.

       In the motorcycle bracket 25 bikes staged up for the first round with Dean Weaks .508 the best light and Dave Beavers running a 10.031 on a 10.03 dial in. In the quarterfinals Roger Wilhelm Jr of Urbana, Ohio on his 72 Kawasaki got the bye run. Bob Nugent of Fairborn, Ohio on his 79 Kawasaki defeated Russell Stewart of North Hampton, Ohio on his 87 Kawasaki. Burt Exman of Englewood, Ohio on his 83 Suzuki got the win over Mike McGrath of Dayton, Ohio on his 77 Kawasaki. Scott Sheppeard of Tipp City, Ohio on his 83 Honda red lighted giving the win to Brian Poe of Cable, Ohio on his 96 Suzuki. In the semi finals Wilhelm Jr red lighted giving the win to Nugent. Exman red lighted giving the win to Poe. In the final Nugent was looking for a repeat win and Poe was looking for his first of the season. Poe had the better light .513 to .542 but Nugent ran 9.227 on a 9.22 dial in to take the win. His first won on the new bike.

       In the junior dragster class 33 cars staged up for the first round with Brian Cripps had a .508 light and Killian Fansler ran a 7.904 on a 7.90 dial in. In round two Brad Stevens had a .504 light for the best light of the day for juniors for the second week in a row. Michael Sturgill ran an 8.464 on an 8.46 dial in. In round three Andrew Casanova ran an 8.947 on an 8.94 dial in. In the quarterfinals Ryan Jenks of Jamestown, Ohio in his Jegster got the bye run. Danielle Kendall of Urbana, Ohio in her 96 Spitzer ran 17.759 on a 10.75 to beat Michael Sturgill of Beavercreek, Ohio in his 98 Bos. Killian Fansler of Kettering, Ohio in his 03 Half broke out giving the win to Chris Nuss of North Hampton, Ohio. In the semi finals Nuss got the bye run. Kendall broke out giving the win to Jenks. In the final Jenks was looking for a repeat and Nuss looking for his first of the season. Jenks had the better light but Nuss ran dead on for the win with an 8.601 on an 8.60 dial in.

       In the high school final David Reedy of Xenia, Ohio in his Mustang had a .504 light and got the win over a red lighting Joe Hoskins of Fairborn, Ohio in his Neon.
